Description: "Secrets of the Bay" is a documentary focusing on San Francisco Bay and its inhabitants. Specifically, this film explores the effect that humans have on the environment of the San Francisco Bay, as well as their recreational activities. George Farnsworth (the subject of a later documentary called "Arrests, No Convictions") is featured as well. The film discusses the declining shrimp population at the time and biologist Diane Kopec discusses the health of the seals in the Bay. Similar to "Treasures of the Greenbelt" this film takes a look at the state of the San Francisco Bay Area's natural environment, contributing to the larger historical record.
