Description: A survey of European Russia, west of the Ural Mountains. Shows the topography, living conditions, agriculture, waterways and chief cities of this area including Yalta on the Black Sea. The Communist form of government is discussed briefly. Heavy industry has expanded under the five and seven year plans, but the standard of living is lower than in many Western countries.
