Rules Are Good Directions And They’re Necessary

Rules! Are they really meant for me? Why are they necessary? All of us are surrounded by rules, or so it seems. This film explores the child's world of rules. As young viewers become involved in a series of decision making situations, it becomes apparent that rules are good directions. Sequences, including stop-action, explore reasons for having rules in public parks, at school, and at home. Lessons to be learned invlve way to become aware of the need for rules, ways to judge their fairness, and ways to accept the responsibilty for their enforcement.
