RIFF Selections 1986 Part I

1. Dream Bullet- A poetic and evocative tale of love and loss. Michael Cohn of Austin, Texas proves that film can tell a dramatic story without a spoken word. 2- Life is a Bitch and Then You Die- This unusal approach to filmmaking, combining 1930's footage with a contemporary sound track, requires you to listen carefully. It was made by Nina Gilberti of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 3. Safety is My Copilot- This film, an off-beat approach to the training film by Russ Airey of new Hope, Pennsylvania, delivers its message with deadpan humor. 4- Snowcones- This animated procession by David Bastian of Cincinnati, Ohio, was made with charm and wit. 5. Life Cycle- This smooth animation, made by Neil Carstairs of Elie, Scotland, contains an astonishing depth of meaning in its deceptive simple story.
