Reaching Potential

Portrays the mainstreaming of four visually handicapped children into regular classrooms. Illustrates the magnitude of therapy that helps these children overcome their handicaps to function relatively independently in the school and other settings. Interviews with teachers and administrators relate how they have successfully dealt with mainstreaming with the help of community support systems. Encourages teachers and other people to back these community support systems to constructively integrate the disabled into society.
