Description: In the last decade of the 19th century, the policy of imperialism swept the United States. The last divine monarch of Hawaii, Queen Liliuokalani, was a victim of this policy. In an attempt to regain the powers of the throne, she is forced to clash with American business interests. With the support of the United States Government, the American businessmen take over the local government. The end result is the annexation of Hawaii and the abdication of Queen Liliuokalani.
