Description: Describes a two-year study carried out by the U S Atomic Energy Commission's Oak Ridge National Laboratory on the feasibility of permanent disposal of high level radioactive wastes in vacated salt mines, and key steps to such disposal at an abandoned salt mine in Kansas.
