Problem of Pupil Adjustiment, Part I: The Drop-Out

Creator: CRM/McGraw-Hill Films

Description: Designed to be used with a text on educational psychology. In an employment office Steve Martin, on the day he should be graduating from high school, sits reminiscing about things gone awry at school and his succession of mediocre jobs held after his "drop-out." Shows Steve's eagerness as a freshman, then the withering effect of repetitious drill over textbook material that seems pointless. Even physical education and industrial arts classes seem regimented. Truancy comes easily, and finally, becomes his escape.
