Clarifies dry cell operation in terms of electron action. Animated drawings and regular photography develop the theme by demonstrating the ionization of an electrolyte, electron flow, action at the electrodes, polarization, and the function of the depolarizer. Other demonstrations reveal operating chracteristics and uses of a single cell and of cells connected as a battery in series and in parallel.
