Episode of Series “Man builds - man destroys”. The way people live now calls for constantly increasing supplies of energy for more and more power production. However, resources of fossil fuels are limited and the power they generates is a major source of pollution. Here is examined the environmental impact of atomic energy: radiation safety, thermal pollution, and disposal of nuclear wastes.
