Description: A boy narrates at a natural pace in the present tense vernacular a view of silversmiths (plateros) and weavers (tejedores) at their craft in the Mexican market village of Taxco. Silversmiths heat, polish and cut the silver and create and display handsome necklaces and knives. Weavers dye cotton and wool, thread and weave intricate patterns with primitive hand-and-foot looms.
