Description: Animated models and diagrams show the structure of the kidney and explain kidney circulation. Experiments on an anaesthetised animal demonstrate the permeability of the glomerular membrane, the passage of small molecules through both a cellophane membrane and the kidney and the failure of large molecules to pass either. Illustrates the mechanism of secretion and the effects of pressure, adrenaline, haemorrhage, restoration of blood volume and an overdose of chloroform.
