Petronella

Things never change much in Skyclear Mountain where, traditionally, the son of the King and Queen would always leave home and rescue a princess, bring her back home, and rule over the kingdom. That was the way it always was until the reign of King Peter XXVI and Queen Blossom. Their only child turns out to be a girl. "What's to be done about it?" says the King gloomily. The King needn't have worried, because his daughter, Petronella, carries out the tradition by setting out to rescue a prince., Presents, in animation, a humorous twist to the timeless fairy tale, as Princess Petronella demands equal opportunity to rescue a prince. Shows the princess successfully performing three tasks and dragging an unwilling Prince Frederick of Firefly to freedom. Concludes as Petronella outwits and captures Frederick's captor, Albion, the dragon-enchantor who claims to be under a spell, and a happily-ever-after ending unexpectedly results. Based on a story by Jay Williams.
