People Of The Australian Western Desert, Pt 7 - Spear - Thrower Making, Including

Depicts Minma as he makes a spear-thrower, including stone flaking and gum preparation. Shows Minma cutting a lump of wood from an acacia tree, shaping it and then finding and flaking a stone for a knife. Follows him as he collects spinifex grass gum, melts it, uses it to fasten the knife to a wooden handle and finally mounts a peg on his spear-thrower to receive the end of the spear shaft.
