Abandoning a distinguished career as a musician, Dr. Schweitzer chose to help the African natives. His work gained him the Nobel Prize and now an honorary degree for Dr. Albert Schweiser, theologian, philosopher, physician, who in humility achieved true greatness. The Vienna State Opera, burned out by World War II bombs, reopens with a splendor reminiscent of Emperor France Joseph's reign. Secretary of State Dulles leads the opening night audience that includes diplomats and music lovers from all over the world.
