Paths Of Glory.

General Georges Broulard (Adolphe Menjou) asks his subordinate, the ambitious General Mireau (George Macready), to send his division on a suicide mission to take a well-defended German position called the "Anthill" The attack on the Anthill was a failure, and 100 soldiers were court martialed for cowardice. The trial is a farce, and can be described as a kangaroo court where the rights of the accused are violated.
