Description: Examines, symbolically in animation, man in a "civilized" society, as the protagonist wrestles with people and events who prevent him from leading a simple, private life. Shows the man attempting to read, listen to music, and enjoy painting while struggling against violent police, a promiscuous wife, and other menacing figures. Observes that even when he attempts suicide he is attended by a taunting crowd and ends as he escapes and is left to wrestle with himself.
