Parable (1964)

Parable (1964) is a 15-minute film directed by Rolf Forsberg, presented in pantomime. The story follows a white-faced clown who joins a circus parade and selflessly takes on the burdens of the lowly, abused, and humiliated individuals he encounters. His acts of love and compassion ultimately lead to his death, reminiscent of the crucifixion of Jesus. The film serves as a poignant parable, open to various interpretations, and encourages discussions on ethics, Christian faith, and human involvement. It is produced by the National Council of the Churches of Christ.
