Shows in detail the processes involved in turning trees into paper. Starts with scenes of winter logging in Upper Michigan. Logs are shown being converted into pulp by means of both the sulphite process and the ground wood process. The action of the digester and the bleacher is explained in animated drawings. Shows the operation of the large paper machine, the calender machine, and testing of the paper in research laboratories. The paper is then followed to a large printing establishment to show how it is used in the publishing of a magazine.
