Description: Set in Manhattan, this film portrays life behind the counter in New York City's coffee shops run by Greek immigrant families and serving neighborhood customers with a personal touch. Owners and managers reveal the long hours, family cooperation and arduous work needed to maintain economic survival. Waiters discuss working conditions and their aspiration to own their own businesses. The film is narrated, in part, by cab driver Ralph Perlmutter.
