One of our own

A poignant drama that pinpoints the problems of separation in a close-knit family where one of the children is retarded. A move to a new community plus the boy's approaching maturity causes the family to re-evaluate the wisdom of keeping him at home. The film concludes on a happy Note as the young man adjusts to his new home and realizes that he can learn skills that will enable him to become independent. The part of the retarded boy is played by David McFarlane. (See David in the Donnell Media Center Collection.)
