Presents a visual progression from the observer's to the participant's point of view in the 1936 Olympic Marathon Event. Opens with shots of all the contestants awaiting the start of the race, moves progressively closer to the participants until it gets "inside" one participant, and then returns to observer status to report the completion of the marathon.
