Description: This 1950s industrial film presented by J. Ray McDermott & Company tells the story of how McDermott partnered with the Venezuelan Sun Oil Company to build the world’s largest flow station at the time. Narrator Daniel Donaldson follows the project from design to construction to delivery to installation. The film concludes with a brief survey of other McDermott structures found around the globe, including offshore drilling platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and an oil pipeline in Argentina. Robert Yarnall Richie, who produced and directed this film, was a freelance industrial photographer and filmmaker who worked with various large corporations in Texas and around the globe.
