Explains that because the problems of the blind child are usually greater than parents can cope with unaided, they are often sent away from home into residential nurseries. Depicts a nursery school that enables blind children to stay at home by supplementing the care given by their parents - by helping to make up for missed stages of development, by encouraging curiousity and by keeping up continual verbal communication to facilitate orientation and compensate for missing visual contact.
