Description: An expressionistic interpretation of the vampire tale about a monster who brings plague and havoc to the civilized world. Hutter, a newly married clerk, journeys to Transylvania to transact some business with Count Orlock, alias Nosferatu, a vampire. When the Count's secret is revealed, he travels to Bremen (via a ship stricken with the plague) there to pursue Hutter's beautiful young wife, Ellen. The film is Note worthy for its use of real locations to create atmosphere, its special effects and the gaunt, spectral image created by Schreck. (Circulates)
