Presents the history of immigration of America, based on John F Kennedy's book A Nation Of Immigrants. Tells of the difficult adjustments the immigrants have had to make in the new land. Covers individuals who have achieved greatness in the period known as the 'great wave,' between 1880 and 1910, when 23 million people left their homelands to come to America.
