Description: Traces the rise of Benito Mussolini through the chaotic times in Italy during the 1920s, the prosperous years of the 1930s, World War II and his association with Hitler, and his last days at the close of the war. Shows the building of a dictatorship with its subsequent controls in Italy and points up the unity and progress this ordered system produced. Documents Mussolini's exploits in Ethiopia and Albania. Follows the development of his relations with Hitler before and during World War II. Depicts the Italian people's opposition to Mussolini after they experience the severe reverses he brought upon them during the last years of the war.
