Motivating the class

Description: Episode of Series “Educational Psychology”. Portrays a student-teacher trying to interest a class in the subject of mathematics. His mistakes and achievements are shown with explanatory comments by his supervisory teacher. The students are first taught in an abstract fashion, without relating the subject to the interests of the student. Later, mathematics are applied to subjects of student interest, student participation is encouraged, outdoor projects are undertaken leading to more effective teaching.
