Portrays nine-year-old Molly, a Russian-Jewish girl whose foreign accent, strange ways and peculiar clothes make her the object of her classmates’ taunts. Reveals that when the children make dolls for a display of the first Thanksgiving, Molly brings in a Russian-Jewish figure which leans the children to understand Molly and her family’s search for religious freedom.
