Pictures a hypothetical ancestor that could have given rise to the various classes of Molluska living today. Presents, in detail, way the classes of Molluska have become modified and deviate from the theoretical common mollusk ancestor. Shows anatomical details of representative of Gastropoda, Pelecypoda, Scaphopoda, Amphineura, and Cephalopoda, and explains how each was modified from the common ancestor to its present-day form.
