Depicts the origins of white ethnic minority groups, and their problems in winning acceptance and in gaining economic and social power in America., Reviews the history of the European immigrants, especially those from Eastern Europe, focusing on their problems in finding decent work, housing, and education. Notes their tendency to band together in cultural, economic, and political groups and discusses both the violent resistance to their entry and presence in the United States and the Quota Laws. Points out that these people are now part of the majority who often feel pressured by current minorities and who resist these minorities in much the same ways they were once resisted.
