Description: Produced by the BBC for the British Open University Discusses the overture and incidental music written by 19th-century German composer Felix Mendelssohn for A Midsummer Night's Dream. Establishes the influence of his contemporary, German composer Baron Karl Maria Weber, and the importance of the overture to Mendelssohn's career.
