Description: An animated fable relating the Moravian tale of Marusska, a poor mountain girl who dared to enter a haunted wolf castle. The castle provides Marusska with fine food and beautiful garments but is also a place of terrible secrets. Twelve maidens have turned to stone and a duchess is imprisoned. Marusska vows to keep silent about the castle as the duchess has requested. For her steadfastness, she suffers many hardships but is finally rewarded.
