An open-ended film which looks at the ideas of Niccolo Machiavelli, particularly as they are manifested in “The Prince”. These ideas are discussed in their relation to the reality of the world view that they reflect - does Machiavelli merely supply a superficial rationale to opportunists and dictators or does he present the world as it is in reality?
