Description: Sponsored by Dow chemical company. Film opens with conversation of two air-transport passengers—an airplane designer and a practical production engineer—about visions of giant stratosphere planes carrying passengers and cargo, and small helicopters for family and individual use. These achievements are inferred to a large extent by use of magnesium, which is shown in a laboratory where its sources and bines under the earth's surface. Research engineers are seen in the laboratory where the mysteries of magnesium are uncovered. Production of magnesium is depicted in detail by animated drawings and actual scenes.
