Description: This beautifully shot and edited film documents the Lucerne International Music Festival held August 3-29, 1939. It features the Swiss Festival Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ernest Ansermet and Paul Kletzki; Collegium Musicum of Zurich-Basle conducted by Paul Sacher; Josef Breitenbach at the Hofkirche pipe organ. The film features a tour of Lucerne and its environs, beautifully shot by cameraman Otto Ritter and edited by Hans Trommer. Likely the same film as "Lucerne Ville Musicale," shown at the Cannes Film Festival of 1946
