Louisiana Story.

Filmed in the Petit Anse bayou country of southern Louisiana, this documentary dramatization of the simple life of the Cajuns shows, from the point of view of a small boy, the natives' wonderment at the mechanical wizardry of an oil company's floating derrick.

The film deals with the adventures of a young Cajun boy and his pet raccoon. A sub-plot involves his elderly father's allowing an oil company to drill for oil in the inlet that runs behind their house. The film was photographed by Richard Leacock and edited by Helen van Dongen, who were also the associate producers.
