Description: Photographer Lorna Simpson explores the ambiguous ways in which words and images function together to create meaning. For the opening of the Sean Kelly Gallery in New York City's Soho, she creates a series of largescale, multipaneled photographs silkscreened onto felt. The images show scenes from the urban landscape designed around the theme of private activities that take place in public spaces. Captures the intense work and hectic pace of producing, installing, and opening a show.
