Uses a controlled experiment and microphotography, partially time-lapse, to show the variety of living and non-living particles which can be found in a cubic foot of air. Depicts an intermediate-grade boy as he exposes the agar in a dish to compare what happens to it with one which is kept covered. Points out that some molds, such as penicillium are beneficial and with microphotography pictures bacteria, amoeba, pollen grains, and dust - all of which may be found in the air.
