This 1970 silent news footage for KCTV (now KLST-TV) captures construction projects around San Angelo, Texas, including the building of a 28,000-square-foot Levi Strauss & Company manufacturing plant along US Highway 277. The famed clothing company operated a factory in San Angelo from 1965 to 1997. The footage also includes construction on the Angelo State University campus, as well as scenes of air and water pollution, which was likely used for a news segment about the school’s inaugural Earth Day event.
