Description: This 17-minute film presents the basics of sound beginning with it source – vibrations emitting sound waves. We visualize the sound waves with an oscilloscope showing amplitude and frequency. Tapping on a stretch of steel rail,we compare the speed sound travels in solid steel to the speed of sounds in air.
