The aircraft carrier USS Forrestal CVA-59 is shown in port :49. Rear Admiral Charles D. Griffin is shown. Griffin was a four-star admiral in the United States Navy who served as commander in chief of United States Naval Forces Europe from 1963 to 1965 and as commander in chief of Allied Forces Southern Europe from 1965 to 1968. Planes are seen tied down on the deck of the carrier 1:12. Lieutenant Kirk Carter is the narrator’s guide on board the Forrestal 1:27. The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a the smallest attack jet; a supersonic fighter and the fastest in the fleet 24:30. It is armed with atomic weapons.
