Law: A System Of Order

Duration: 18

Year Published: 1971

Creator: MCGRAW HILL PUBLISHING CO

Format: 16mm

Description: Live-action sequences are interspersed with pictorials, newsreels, paintings and drawings to trace the development of laws from the time when they were passed on by oral teaching to the time that they were written down to insure their permanence, and from the time that men believed laws came directly from God to the time that their source was the people they serve. In scenes depicting countries and cultures all over the world, small towns and metropolitan areas, this film illustrates that there is no society without some law. Concludes by considering the questions of international law.
