Description: While the women make clothes, the hunter's father helps to prepare seal skins and the boys look after the fish nets. While whales are spotted feeding over a reef, a chase follows, with the Eskimos in kayaks, and a whale is harpooned and brought in. As autumn comes and daylight fades they are ready for winter. This prize winning film is of interest to all ages as an example of a "stone age" people and of techniques of living in the Arctic.
