A science fiction story which occurs after World War III, composed of still photographs. A desperate band of survivors, living underground, use their remaining scientific resources to escape their radioactive impasse. The hero voyages through time to the past where he encounters a woman he had glimpsed as a child at the airport. He falls in love with her and wishes to remain in the past but is prevented from doing so., A story beginning and ending in the present but made "after the Third World War."
