I think Susan B Anthony for 50 years was the center of the women's movement in this country and her energy and her dedication and her perseverance are inspirational to us all uh the fact that she was concerned with many of the same issues almost exactly the same issues that femin today are concerned with shows how much there still is to accomplish and we can all learn from her that we have to work in order to accomplish it and we have to persevere and not give up and I I might ask I I'll ask her about and I'll say what do you think Susan banthony would think of the women's living what is the purpose of this celebration today today is Susan B Anthony's birthday and the women's Liberation Center is having a birthday party tonight at 700 here at 10:27 caw and we are celebrating her birthday in a way that we think is fun and encouraging to women so that they will find out that they have a figure that they can try to live up to a model of a strong woman and we're celebrating because the Los Angeles Public Schools are not doing anything for her birthday even though it is in the Education Code that it be celebrated why do you think like it very much she wanted women to be good as good as men at the things they did now here we are teaching the women how to be auto mechanics and things like that and she liked that and um we want women to advance in every way and we're trying every way we can think of to do it and um I think she'd like that and I um think that if she was here she'd be right here help been us they're going to cut it shorter anyhow yeah that's it
