Reel 1: Segment 1 (silent): Aftermath of a car crash into a house. Damage to house exterior and interior shown. Young man is taken away in back of a car. Segment 2 (silent): Several young men, dressed in black, with facial hair and slightly long hair, in a dim room, with other men in suits. One of them appears to be being searched. A publication called "Psychedelic Experience" is in the room. It is not clear what is happening. Segment 3 (silent): White Cliff Liquors exterior, shots of rafters and a completely gutted building that looks like it was damaged by fire. Segment 4 (sound): Theatrical performance with swordfight and a king and queen. Reel 2: Segment 1 (silent, color): Auburn-haired woman driving a convertible on a manicured street. She pulls over, and the camera closes in on the GMR DAIR System on her dashboard, a way for her to call for service assistance via radio. Shot of the switchboard of DAIR -- AID & Information Control -- then the dispatcher speaking to her over the radio. Shot of the DAIR tower installed along a street. The woman drives away in the convertible. Segment 2 (silent + sound): Silent footage of a bulldozer razing a small rural cabin near a creek. Close-up of a Santa Clara County sheriff's badge. Reporter Rick Whittaker then reads from his notes: "The bulldozer has almost finished its work, and the authorities are still without clues to the whereabouts of Max and Edith Fisher. A County bulldozer was unloaded at 9:30 this morning and immediately went to work. Today's search was handled by sheriff's detective sergeant Harvey Hutchings, who's been on the baffling case since it began 2 weeks ago. The bulldozer took only moments to level a burned out storage shed, and a bare half hour to demolish what remained of the Fisher's summer cabin. The earthmover ripped and snorted its way through wood and concrete, but its efforts were fruitless. The question of what happened to Max and Edith Fisher remains unanswered. Authorities admitted today's efforts were a long shot. They feel that Edith Fisher is dead, and that her body may be buried somewhere nearby. But the curious public has found the cabin -- they've stripped away much of the plants and foliage, along with -- officers fear -- any clues that might help break the case. Sgt. Hutchings told me earlier today, "We can't go on for much longer without break," but after today it looks like they will. Reel 3: Segment 1 (silent): People lining up for food at an outdoor barbeque. Shots of steaks on the grill, people in cowboy hats eating at long picnic tables. Possibly the Santa Clara County Fair. Segment 2 (silent): Journalists touring San Quentin Prison. Shots of the exterior, yard, a television inside, cells, workers soldering metal on the doors, working the door mechanics, electric chair, exterior of building with lawn in front, watch tower, San Francisco Bay. Segment 3 (sound): A three-piece band practicing on outdoor stage, with a sandy-haired young man in suit standing below. Reporter Rick Whittaker enters the frame on the left and asks, "Dick, what are the problems with getting band talent here?" The band continues to play in the background as Dick says that the [Santa Clara] County Fair is starting a month early and they want to get everyone out this Saturday and Sunday for the promotional activities. The reporter asks what type of talent they're looking for. Dick says they're looking for all types of talent, including pantomimists, dancers, acrobatists... Reel 4 (sound): Woman representing a health agency speaks to camera saying that children in Santa Clara County are well immunized and it's rarely necessary to give them initial inoculations at school. The greatest number of inoculations are given by private physicians. Some may receive them at school.
