Segment 3 (silent): Police from throughout Santa Clara County are honored at Municipal Auditorium, billed as "Community Appreciation Night." Shots of police carrying California flag up the aisle; City Council members and other speakers at the podium; police officers accepting honors on stage. Odd Fellows band plays polkas. Segment 2 (silent): California Highway Patrol graduation at Governor's Hall at Sacramento State Fairgrounds. Segment 3 (sound): San Jose State track and field coach Bud Winter talks about the upcoming Easter relays at UC Santa Barbara. Says it should be billed as one of the big meets of the year, but they are planning to peak for the upcoming meet at Stanford University. Segment 4 (silent): Swim meet between Santa Clara and Los Altos High Schools at Los Altos. Santa Clara's Jameson wins 50-yard freestyle; Santa Clara's Kim Cummings wins 200-yard individual medley; Los Altos' Bill Main wins diving. United Nations Ambassador Arthur Goldberg holds news conference inside at the podium, and answers question about U.S. position on China being admitted to the U.N.
