Reel 1: Segment 1 (sound): Interviews with both candidates for Santa Clara County Superior Judge, former assemblyman Bruce Allen and Municipal Court Judge Sidney Feinberg. Feinberg recently won endorsements from the East Palo Alto N.A.A.C.P. and Mexican-American Political Association, and Allen complains that Feinberg has been misrepresenting himself as the incumbent Superior Court judge by referring to himself as "Judge," and that the endorsements are phony because these two organizations consist mainly of white people and don't represent their constituents. Feinberg responds that he is a judge, and that is how people address judges, and he isn't misrepresenting himself and doesn't underrate the intelligence of the voter. He welcomes endorsements from whoever gives them, and wouldn't challenge the integrity of any organization. Reel 2: Segment 2 (sound): Interview with San Francisco Warriors coach Bob Feerick about the team ahead of their game against the Chicago Bulls at San Jose's Civic Auditorium. Reel 3: Segment 1 (silent): Firemen at San Jose's Fire Station No. 1 (corner of Market Street and St. John Street) assemble in uniform outside the station as Chief Robert Le Beau lowers their flag to half mast to honor the twelve New York City firefighters who lost their lives in a fire on October 18th. Segment 3 (silent, color): Footage of the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (LLRV) hovering above the ground at Edwards Air Force Base. Broadcast script reads, "A space-age creation that flies without wings or propeller will arrive at NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, Texas, in late November. It will be shipped from the NASA Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base here in California where it received initial experimental flight testing. [It] can take off and land vertically, hover, and fly horizontally. This vehicle will be used by Apollo astronauts to train for future moon landings...." Segment 2 (sound): Interview with professional wrestler Lou Thesz, headliner of a four match wrestling bill at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. He talks about what's changed in the sport, says time limits have been shortened, which speeds up the sport and makes it a better spectator sport. The reporter says that wrestling used to be real, and now it doesn't look real. But Thesz says it's just as real as it ever was. He says they have more good wrestlers than they ever have, because it's become a popular sport in schools and there are good collegiate wrestling programs. He says the "gimmick" era is over, the era of "villains" and now you've got boys who know how to wrestle. Segment 1 (sound): U.S. Army Draft Board officials visit with soldiers at Fort Ord. Shots of battleship U.S.S. Twining, boat departing from the battleship and arriving at a dock, men walking up dock and being greeted by Major General Robert Ferguson, background chatter of men speaking with the soldiers. Broadcast script reads, "Today was the moment of truth for 46 Army Draft Board officials. The officials visited Fort Ord to meet some of the soldiers they were responsible for drafting. The officials boarded the U.S.S. Twining in San Francisco for the trip to the Monterey area. When they arrived they were greeted by the commanding general of Fort Ord, Major General Robert Ferguson. The draft officials are from the San Francisco and San Jose area. They spent two days at the post..." Segment 2 (sound): Cesar Chavez and other representatives from the farm workers movement pose with Governor Brown. Chavez then speaks and endorses Brown as their preferred candidate. "No question in our minds as farm workers that if Reagan is elected governor, it's going to be the end of our attempt to organize workers. All one has to do is look at the record, at the public statements made by both men. You'll see it becomes very evident that Mr. Reagan is in opposition with what we're trying to do organizing workers, and in opposition to the Mexican-American and the other farm workers progressing. No doubt in my mind that if Mr. Reagan is elected we'll be in serious trouble." Segment 3 (silent): Nurses at Alexian Brothers hospital rooms in East San Jose working with different types of equipment, including a dummy in a hospital bed with leg traction, neo-natal incubator. Broadcast script reads, "It's called an in-service fair. A room has been set aside to put on display various types of equipment used in patient care. For the staff nurses, the fair is a chance for them to brush up on special care and nursing services.
