Description: Original camera footage edited for broadcast for KNTV San Jose Channel 11 news. Includes national, local, and sports coverage. The broadcast script for this date did not survive. Segment 1 (silent): College graduation ceremony, appears to be Stanford University's Frost Amphitheater. Many in the audience have made sunhats out of newspapers and programs. Segment 2 (silent): Man prepares to take off in a hot air balloon with "Libra" written on the side of the balloon. Balloon takes off, a band is playing, helium balloons also released into the air. Shot of the balloon flying in sky over a railroad crossing with Swinerton C. Walberg Co. sign nearby. Cut to people rushing into an orchard to rescue the basket and balloon from the orchard trees. Segment 3 (silent): Vintage cars, including an MG, parked in a lot. Sign for auction indicates all cars will be sold today. Segment 4 (silent): Large group of people including children, walking along railroad tracks near an orchard. They are exploring what appears to be the remains of a railroad accident. One of the railroad cars reads, "Hydra-Cushion for Fragile Freight." Pieces of upholstered furniture are scattered around one area. 6/12/66 A-D 499
